It's been a whirl wind of a week....literally!

Well besides be work, school and my fun trip to H&M and Crate & Barrel, we had quite the wind pass through. Wednesday night to Thursday night we were considered to be having hurricane force winds, some gusts reaching 103MPH in the area. I believe that was the scariest weather I have ever been in. I would have been working that day except because of the wind our delivery truck was unable to get the product to us. So I had the day off :) We wouldn't have left the house at all that day but decided we needed to go check on one of our friends that decided to work on his roof. I couldn't wait to get back to the house where I felt safe. It was so scary being out on the roads because the wind was constant at 40-50mph and you never knew when one of the big blows was coming. When walking outside I could barely stand my ground and best be sure not to be in movement when one of the gusts came through because they easily moved me a few feet.
As the day moved on occasionally the winds would die down but then they would come back with a furry. Garbage cans were rolling down the street, many business closed due to power outages, many businesses lost their letters off their signs and even some of their signs as well. There is still debris all over town and a lot of clean up to do to as well. The biggest hit was Clearfield, they had to declare a state of emergency because of all the damages and power outages. We were one of the very lucky ones, no damages done and only had the power out for about a hour. I was very grateful it only lasted that amount because all we had were a few flashlights. Summer came down for a little while and brought me some candles in case it went out again. I'm very grateful to have a good Samaritan near by.
It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that was interesting to view from the house but I don't ever want to be in it again.
